# Under Glass > A light-hearted crew planner. List three to eight people you know - flatmates, family, a club - with a few words about each, and pick how long a glass dome habitat stays sealed (a fortnight, six months or two years). Each person gets a kind of crewmate, a dome job and a post in one of the dome's eight biomes; then the app names the glue, the likeliest friction, writes a crew log and gives a verdict on whether to seal the dome. Jobs go first to whoever's words name the work, then by kind of crewmate. - The dome cut away into its eight biomes with a token per crewmate, the crew balance across the six kinds, and an air gauge for the verdict. - The verdict, by a fixed rule over the kinds: back to the airlock (two kinds or fewer); otherwise seal after one swap (nobody is a connector or facilitator, a crew of four or more has fewer than four kinds, or one kind is more than half the crew); otherwise seal the dome. - Exports: a plain-text summary for the group chat (the share sheet where the browser has one, else the clipboard), Markdown, JSON and the crew as CSV; saved crews in the browser, or in your account when signed in. ## Metered (gpt-terra), one task: cast the crew - Every person cast from their own words: a kind of crewmate, a dome job and a one-line reason. - The glue (a connector or facilitator who holds the crew together), where it will rub (two people's habits), a crew log through the four stages of team development - forming, storming, norming, performing - timed to the stay, three crew rituals, one warning sign to watch, and the one habit to keep or the change to make before sealing. - The page re-checks every reply: one post per person, every job held once, the verdict against the reply's own casting, the glue really a connector or facilitator, the log in its four stages, no he or she for anyone, and no internal field ids in the prose. ## Limits and honesty - Under Glass is a game. The kinds of crewmate are a playful reading of a few words about each person, not an assessment of anyone. - The planner uses only the words you typed: no invented hobbies, relationships, traits or backstory. - Nothing is sent anywhere until you press "Seal the crew". - Trend it answers: in October 2026 the English Wikipedia article on the 1990s sealed glass-dome experiment in Arizona averaged about 515 human page views a day from 22 September to 14 October, then drew 2,041 on 20 October and 7,907 on the 21st (Wikimedia daily page-view counts). ## Source Built on the SkillSafe skill @erichowens/team-builder (https://skillsafe.ai/skill/@erichowens/team-builder): designs team structures with organizational psychology - complementary archetypes, the glue role, Tuckman's stages of team development, warning signs and collaboration rituals.
